Arriving in New Zealand? Here is how to find your Kiwi Driver driver after your flight. Your individual booking confirmation and driver’s WhatsApp message take priority over the general guidance below.
Before meeting your driver
After landing: Switch on your phone, collect all bags and complete any customs or biosecurity checks. Check WhatsApp for your driver's name, mobile number, vehicle details and exact meeting location. For meet-and-greet bookings, look for a sign displaying your name. Do not leave for a taxi or rideshare rank unless your driver directs you there. If you cannot locate the driver, contact us before leaving the terminal.
Choose your airport
Auckland (AKL)
International: After customs, enter the public arrivals hall. For Kiwi Driver meet-and-greet services, look for your driver in the Pre-Charter area, to the left as you enter public arrivals , or follow the exact instructions sent by your driver.
Domestic: Collect your bags and check your driver's message for the agreed terminal meeting point or forecourt zone. Auckland's domestic terminal has signed pickup areas.
Christchurch (CHC)
International and domestic: Collect your luggage and meet at the location specified in your driver message. If meet-and-greet is arranged, your driver will advise where to find the name sign inside or near arrivals. The airport has a dedicated pre-booked taxis and shuttles collection area, separate from rideshare.
Wellington (WLG)
After collecting luggage, remain near the public arrivals area and check your driver's WhatsApp instructions. Your driver will confirm whether to meet you inside or at a designated vehicle collection area. Do not assume the Uber pickup zone is your meeting point.
Queenstown (ZQN)
Once you have your bags, check your driver's message. Your driver will confirm an arrivals meet-and-greet point or the appropriate short-stay/vehicle pickup location. The airport's immediate pickup lane is for quick collections only; drivers cannot wait there.
Rotorua (ROT)
Collect your bags, then check your driver’s message for the meeting point at the terminal or nearby vehicle pickup area. Please remain near arrivals until the driver confirms their location.
Hamilton (HLZ)
After collecting your luggage, follow the personalised instructions from your driver. Your driver will specify whether the meeting point is inside the terminal or outside at the agreed pickup location.
Tauranga (TRG)
Once you have your luggage, contact your driver via WhatsApp and follow the confirmed terminal meeting or vehicle collection instructions.
Dunedin (DUD)
After baggage claim, check your WhatsApp message for the precise meeting location. Your driver will confirm where to meet for the booked private transfer.
Hawke's Bay / Napier (NPE)
Collect your luggage and check your driver's message for the agreed arrivals or vehicle pickup point. If you need assistance, stay near the terminal and contact us.
Nelson (NSN)
After baggage collection, look for the instructions provided by your driver and meet at the confirmed arrivals or pickup location.
Important: Meeting points can change because of terminal works, access restrictions or operator permissions. The exact pickup point will be reconfirmed for your booking.
